Gerver's lecture and presentation entitled "Gardens to Attract
Hummingbirds and Butterflies" focuses on how to create a garden
that is a haven for hummingbirds and butterflies. The program
discusses including in the garden annuals, perennials, trees, and
shrubs that provide food and shelter for these winged beauties. The
program also highlights the various plants that provide nectar for
hummingbirds and butterflies, as well as the host plants that serve
as food for the caterpillars, which, of course, eventually turn into
butterflies. The program shows you how to have a successful and
beautiful hummingbird and butterfly garden of your own. Included
is a question & answer session after the program as well as a
plant sale of rare, hard-to-find, and useful plants and gardening products.
