"Gardening in Containers" |
Pernell Gerver's lecture and presentation entitled "Gardening in Containers" shows how to have success when gardening in containers. Gardening in containers is the solution for those with limited time, limited space, or both. Examples of window boxes, hanging baskets, wall baskets, half whiskey barrels, deck planters, and potted vegetables as well as unique and unusual planters are featured. Tips are provided on how to design, plant, and maintain colorful containers. Ideas on good plant combinations for containers are given, plus a "secret recipe" of special components that help keep containerized plantings looking good all season long is revealed. Instructions on how to create a moss hanging basket are also illustrated. By choosing the right combinations of plants in containers, the program shows you how to have colorful container gardens all season long. Included is a question & answer session after the program as well as a plant sale of rare, hard-to-find, and useful plants and gardening products.
