What: “Gardens to Attract Hummingbirds and Butterflies”

Pernell Gerver's lecture and presentation focuses on how to create a garden that is a haven for hummingbirds and butterflies. The program discusses including in the garden annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs that provide food and shelter for these winged beauties. The program also highlights the various plants that provide nectar for hummingbirds and butterflies, as well as the host plants that serve as food for the caterpillars, which, of course, eventually turn into butterflies. The program shows you how to have a successful and beautiful hummingbird and butterfly garden of your own. Participants are encouraged to ask questions in the question & answer session included in the program.
