Gelsemium
sempervirens - Carolina jasmine - to 3 feet
tall, Carolina jasmine, while not a true jasmine, bears flowers that
have a fragrance very similar to jasmine. The tubular, golden-yellow
flowers are borne in clusters and bloom from early winter through
spring, brightening up the dark days of winter. Its a vining
plant that grows well in a hanging basket or up a small trellis.
